Located in close proximity to Udawalawe National Park, Riverside Elegant Resort offers a calm and tranquil getaway from the hectic city life. Konekt undertook the task of creating a minimalistic website which should bound with the Client’s ultimate goal of obtaining inquiries.
While the reviews and feedback from existing customers were positive, the ability to gain new customers through their marketing channels was a demanding task as they lacked expertise in the web/digital channel. The resort had zero digital presence and had no proper digital strategy in place. Aware of the changes in preferences of the travelers towards online services, the hotel had to look for digital solutions to help them overcome this crisis, provide exceptional services for demanding travelers and increase their direct online booking.
The team conducted a full brainstorm session to identify key target markets, the main objectives of the new website, past digital marketing performance, and more. The team also identified design and functionality preferences and looked to see how they could make their website different from the comp set. With the research findings, we were able to design a modern website that made use of beautiful high-resolution imagery to better sell the location and each individual amenities. We optimized the information architecture to improve the conversion once a potential lead visits the site and introduced a content strategy to help increase search traffic. This was further enhanced by acquiring a unique domain for the website which has a high domain authority.
